Philip Leslie is the Founder and CEO of ProOnGo, a dynamic, entrepreneurial initiative responsible for designing viable technology that can track mileage, distance traveled and time, convert currency, and effectively manage receipt-based expenses from the one gizmo that professionals carry with them at all times – smart phones. Gone are the days where professionals had to manually file expense reports, where hours were spent entering data, copying, and faxing. With the help of the Receipt Reader app, compatible with the Blackberry, iPhone and Windows Mobile, all you need to do is take a picture of the receipt with the camera on your phone, and within minutes the software translates this data into a ready to file expense report, complete with the receipt amount, merchant name, and date of the transaction. Once complete, these expenses are made available for review by your supervisor, and can be approved or denied with the simple click of a button. Talk about revolutionizing the world of expense management.

Philip Leslie loves being a part of the University Technology Park, and the University itself holds a special place in his heart. After completing his masters at the University of Chicago, Mr. Leslie, former engineering manager at Microsoft, decided to come back to IIT with a simple, yet ground breaking concept, and worked with several local students to make this concept a reality. According to him, the Technology Park is filled with opportunities. “It’s cost effective to hire students – they’re loaded with talent, willing to put in the effort, and economically attractive.
