PROTOTYPING AND MORE AT IIT’S IDEA SHOP
UTP companies searching for student talent can draw on the resources of IIT’s Idea Shop, a 13,000-square-foot hub for student innovation at the Technology Business Center. This is where IIT students from all fields of study gather to generate breakthrough ideas and guide them from concept to launch – a universal requirement for all IIT undergraduates.
This state-of-the-art facility includes computer visualization tools, a rapid prototyping lab and 3D printing facilities. Many UTP companies have worked with student teams to create prototypes needed at various stages of concept development.
Companies can work with UTP staff and Idea Shop faculty to organize prototype teams, find student interns and employees and even sponsor student-led projects that give promising young minds the chance to grow and develop.
